ABOUT US

Brough Bay Limited, registered in Northampton, England, is the lead company in promoting the north of Scotland, with links to Orkney. The company was formed in 2008 and is the sister company of Caledonian Iberian ConeXions S.L. based in Malaga, Andalucia, registered in Spain in 2006. The Spanish SL company has property for rent and sale in Andalucia.

North of Scotland Hospitality (NOSH) was a tourism association set up in 1998 by the then owners of the Ben Loyal Hotel and focussed on Caithness and Sutherland, also with links to Orkney. This was backed by John Thurso, MP. John was the main driver behind the brand name LetsGoNorth under which the projects are promoted. NOSH was discontinued in 2012 due to change in circumstances of the Directors of the Company.

The Dunnet Head Educational Trust which was formed in 2003 to raise the profile of Dunnet Head as the most northerly point of the UK mainland, is celebrating its 11th Anniversary in 2013 and is a voluntary organisation. The Trust handles anything within its remit which is non commercial.

Current projects include the development of the North Highland Way, which will link the Moray Firth Trail at John o Groats and the national trail from Fort William to Cape Wrath. the ultimate aim is to get this designated as a national trail.

In an effort to highlight the beautiful equines we have in northern Scotland, some of whom compete at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show and at the Horse of the Year Show, LetsGoNorth strives to improve equine tourism in the north. The idea of LetsGoNorth is that you can go north from anywhere below the 58 degree latitude - which means that any company from anywhere south of that can benefit from LetsGoNorth, particularly if they are headed to or have business interests in the far north of Scotland.
